Candid with opinions yet discreet in judgment, creative at tasks and pensive in decision making, industrious at work and convivial after-hours, an infectious vivacity and optimism, an unbridled passion for the art of media and laser sharp focus towards my goals -That is what defines me.

 

Born in the little city of Ranchi in India,  I was the stereotypical small town girl with stars in her eyes. Dance performance on stage, music performance on TV, captaining the sports meet – co-curricular activity was always my driving force. I grew up harboring a dormant liking for news, advertisements, tv shows and was intrigued by the work and innovation that goes into their creation . By the time I got a Bachelor’s degree in Political science , my aptitude was too obvious to me. This led to a post Graduate diploma from IIJNM , Bangalore , where I learned the nuances of the media industry. Equipped with my prowess in vision and creativity inculcated in academia, and dreams in my eyes, I landed in the heart of Bollywood , the creative and commercial capital of India ,Mumbai. Here I forayed into the exciting world of TV . It has been nearly 7 years now and my passion still alive . 

 

 Scripting is my forte and  direction ,conceptualizing creative innovations and its execution are my proficiencies. Taking my dream forward i am currently pursuing Masters in fine arts (MFA) in media arts and production from world renowned State University of New York Buffalo , in the department of media studies, fall 2014, and now there is no looking back !

 

ON a sunny summer morning in 2008 , As a valedictorian , in my crisp black robe and hard earned degree in my hand , I thought to myself  – “Through media I want to transform the mundane into the sublime and I can think of no task as challenging and remunerating , to devote my life to." Thank you .
